We are a full-service workshop, so the job is not limited to one department. Whatever the make and whatever it needs, that includes:

Because all of it happens under one roof, you are not sent to three different places for one car. If a service uncovers an A/C or a suspension fault, we quote it there and then and you decide.

Every make has its own pattern, which is why we keep a page for each, but a few things come up across almost all Chinese cars in this climate:

• A/C and cooling wear in the heat, common across every Chinese make
• Dual-clutch gearbox hesitation at low speed on the turbo cars, helped by correct servicing
• Suspension bushes, arms and shocks worn by speed bumps, and more so on the heavy EVs
• A flat or failing 12-volt battery on BYD, Zeekr and Avatr, a common cause of a car that will not wake
• Oil leaks on the turbocharged petrol engines as they age
• Touchscreen, camera and software niggles, usually sorted with the right diagnostics
• High-voltage battery, charging or air-suspension faults on the electric and luxury models, diagnosed properly

On the turbo cars the gearbox and cooling are the two to stay ahead of, and on the electric cars it is the suspension and the 12-volt battery, all far cheaper serviced than repaired. Cars usually give warning before they give trouble. Whatever you drive, any of these is worth a look rather than a wait:

• A warning light on the dash, including the check engine light, however briefly it appears
• A/C that is cooling less well than it did, or only cools while the car is moving
• A new noise: a knock over bumps, a squeal on braking, a rattle on start-up or a whine that rises with speed
• Juddering or hesitating when you pull away, or a flare in the revs before the car picks up speed
• Temperature creeping up in traffic, or coolant needing topping up
• A puddle or a stain under the car, or a smell of oil, coolant or burning
• Slow or laboured starting, or lights that dim when the engine is idling

We do not publish a single price for a brand, because it would be a guess. What we can tell you is what moves the number:

• Which make and model you have, and how big and complex the engine is
• Whether the fault is one component or a system, which is exactly what diagnosis establishes
• Whether you choose genuine parts or quality aftermarket ones
• How long the labour takes, and whether anything else has been left long enough to cause knock-on damage

Where a job needs a part, you have a choice, and we explain it rather than decide for you. Genuine parts are made by, or to the exact specification of, the manufacturer. Quality aftermarket parts come from established parts companies, to the same fit and function, often at a lower price. For a newer car genuine is usually the right call; for an older one a quality aftermarket part often makes more sense. What we will not fit is the cheap, low-grade stuff that fails early and costs you more in the end. Parts for the mainstream Chinese makes are increasingly available and affordable in the UAE as the brands grow here, and premium and electric parts are sourced correctly and genuine where you want them, and whatever goes in is listed on your invoice by name.
